Organistick Lipsticks Review, Shades and Swatches

So now, we have a number of organic lipstick brands in India which offer natural and chemical-free lipsticks at an affordable price. Organistick is one such brands which offers 100% organic and natural lipsticks at a very affordable price. I have also mentioned about this lipstick brand in my earlier post Natural, Lead Free, Safe and Affordable Lipstick Brands in India. These lipsticks come in total 24 shades. I first bought the Shade 09 Carrot Pink which is a beautiful coral pink color and after getting impressed with it, I bought another color which is Shade 01 Ready Red. Today, I'm going to review both these shades.
What Organistick Claims about their Lipsticks:
Ingredients obtained through organic farming and other natural ways are the ones that provide the necessary minerals and vitamins to cosmetic products like lipstick. Shea butter
Shea butter is an excellent natural moisturizer which is devoid of chemicals from lipsticks and other make up products. It provides extra nutrients that are needed during cold season and dry weather. It is highly effective in locking in moisture without leaving the lips greasy.
Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is an all natural cure for chapped skin and nasty cuticles! Jojoba oil is similar to your skin's natural sebum, making it ideal for moisturizing dry areas. One big bonus is that it contains almost all of the vitamins and minerals essential for healthy lips: vitamin E, B-complex, copper, zinc, selenium, iodine etc.
FD&C colors
FD & C Colors are the Colors certified and allowed by the US for the Food, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics & Personal Care industry. Not only was it advantageous to replenish color lost during processing, but it also gave new appeal to products lacking natural color.
Beeswax
It is an excellent emollient and support for moisturizers and it gives skin protective action of a non-occlusive type. It increases the protective action of sunscreens. Its elasticity and plasticity improve product efficacy by allowing thinner films.
Castor oil
This hard and shiny oil can be found in most cosmetics and acts as a barrier agent and protective medium against harsh conditions and extremes. It is Very soothing to the skin when mixed into cosmetic applications. Known for its plethora of benefits and uses.
Carnauba wax
Carnauba wax can produce a glossy finish especially when mixed with beeswax. Carnauba wax comes from the leaves of the Copernicia prunifera palm grown only in Brazil. Carnauba wax is a safe, non-toxic and inert ingredient.

Organistick lipstick comes in a black cardboard outer box which stores the lipstick. The lipstick has sliver colored plastic packaging with a transparent cap. The cap is sturdy and gets shut properly. It has beautiful white floral design and the brand name Organistick written on it. At the back of the lipstick, its shade number and name is written.Organistick Lipstick Carrot Pink:
Shade and Texture:
Carrot Pink is a beautiful pink shade with a hint of coral. This shade is perfect for medium to fair skin tones. This lipstick is highly pigmented and gives opaque finish in single swipe. This lipstick has a creamy texture with a semi-matte finish. It glides smoothly on lips without feeling patchy. Overall I loved its texture. It has a very mild and natural fragrance which is a big plus for people like me who can't handle strong smelling lipsticks.The only problem I face with this is that it tend to transfer on teeth, So I have to be careful on that part.
Staying Power:
If I apply this lipstick properly after blotting it once and then re-applying it, it stays on my lips for good 3-4 hours. After that, it starts fading and leaves a beautiful natural pink stain behind. It doesn't bleed.

Organistick Lipstick Ready Red:
So, after getting highly impressed with shade Carrot Pink, I bought one more shade from Organistick which is Shade No.01 Ready Red, but to my surprise, it turned out to be completely different in terms of performance. It is a deep red color with a little brown undertone. This is not a true red color. It has same creamy semi-matte finish. But the biggest problem with this lipstick is that it bleeds badly. Even if I apply just a little bit of it, it starts bleeding. So this shade proved to be a complete dud for me.

What I Hate about Organistck Lipstick in Ready Red:
- Bleeds badly which is a BIG NO!
Overall, I loved Organistick Lipstick in shade Carrot Pink. It stays on my lips for long time with its creamy finish. It has beautiful Coral Pink color and good for everyday wear or a formal event. While, the shade Ready Red from Organistick proved to be a complete dud. It bleeds badly. So I suppose their performance varies from shade to shade. I would highly recommend the shade Carrot Pink but stay away from Ready Red.
